I view the Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty) as a 3 part surgery and I include all these parts in my surgery with no additional fees. The three parts of a tummy tuck are:

#1 The loose skin and fat in the tummy area between the pubic hair and the belly button is removed. This often removes a marjority of the skin stretch marks.

#2 The abdominal muscles which are weakened by previous surgery as c-section weight loss or pregnancy are tightened by individually placed sutures. These stiches are permanent not visible and hold the muscle in a correct anatomical position. By placing separate stiches I have found the post operative recovery to be short less painful and my patients are able to stand straight within days after surgery.

#3 As part of my procedure I perform suction assisted lipectomy to remove localized fat deposits to contour areas under the breast on the sides of the hips and the pubic area.The addition of suction assisted lipectomy with the tummy tuck has greatly improved the post opererative stomach area cotours. Patients are very satisfied with the result.

In my practice my tummy tuck and mommy-makeover patients come for a pre-operative consult the day before surgery. During this second consult I review the operation its goals and plan the tummy tuck incision.  I ask my patients to bring their underwear or their swimsuit so as a team we can plain the tummy tuck incision where it will be beneath and covered by their clothes. I can achieve an excellent operative result any where the patient wants the scar placed. The day of the surgery we discuss the incision placement again to make sure we are in agreement.  This has been such an important step to patient satisfaction. A poorly placed incision is permanent not easily adjustable and avoidable by proper planning. After surgery you stay in a 24 hour recovery care center and I see you the next morning and you are discharged.  A follow -up appointment is made for 4-6 days later for your post operation review.  Most women go back to work within 7-10 days.

Many women elect to have breast surgery in combination with their tummy tuck.. The attraction to having this combination is one recovery time and the savings in surgery fees, operation fees and anesthesia fees by doing both the tummy and breast surgery together. Breast augmentation is an operation which increases the size of the breast by placing a breast implant. I use either a  saline or silicone breast implant and the patient decides which  implant  she prefers.  I provide samples of all sizes of breast implants both saline and silicone so the patient can try them on to decide the correct size.  I operate in a Arizona state certified facility and only utilize board certified anesthesiologist.
